Anyone who loves, or wants to learn more about our school!
How will the Barn Picnic differ from the “Barn Dance” of the past?
It will be just as much delightful, quirky fun, but much more relaxed:
The cost per ticket is $35 for a single attendee, or $125 for a family 4-pack.
Kids are welcome!
Food is casual: bring your own (please don’t bring alcohol or glass!), or order ahead and we will have your family’s dinner (we will email you a week ahead to take your order of Hamburger/Cheeseburger, Hot Dog, or Veggie Burger) ready for you! We have beer, hard cider, water, and soft drinks available for purchase.
There is no live or silent auction: this is simply a party, with an open opportunity to give as guests are moved.
Past parents Heather Mackenzie and Lauren Driscoll set the tone for the event in 2019.
How will the money raised by the picnic benefit The Accord School?
All funds raised is directed to help students attend our school:
Financial Aid Fund
Designated Scholarships

OK! We are in. What do we wear?
There is no formal dress code, but keep it casual and comfortable:
Many attendees enjoy putting together an outfit with a “country” feel: Cowboy/girl hats and boots, flannels, jeans, etc.
Remember we will be on a farm! Choose clothing and shoes that can deal with bumps, dust, or dirt.
The Armstrong Brothers Band, 2019.
What activities will there be?
Oh my goodness- the BEST activities:
Live music with The Armstrong Brothers Band
“Anyone can do it” line dance instruction with professional line dance instructor Maureen Godding
Organized and casual yard games for kids & adults
Nona’s Ice Cream Truck
Local Craft Beer & Cider
Fire pits and S’Mores
Where is the event held?
Our Barn Picnic is held at Salt River Farm in Marshfield, a beautiful, non-working farm owned by Patti and Peter Abbott, beloved friends of The Accord School students.
What if it rains?
It unexpectedly rained two years ago, HARD. While we do not hope for a 2021 repeat, we all survived and memories were made! We now rent a large tent for the food area in the event of a repeat dousing.
Students and alumni in 2019.
How do we get tickets?
You can buy them right here on our website!
We can’t make it, but still want to support the school. How can we make a donation?
Starting in September, you can make a $100 donation (or many $100 donations!) and be entered to win a pair of sports tickets. You can also make a gift to the Accord School Scholarship of your choice here, or Venmo us at @theaccordschool.
