Personalized Learning Program
This summer, Accord School consulting special educator, Nola Kelley, M.Ed., will offer private one-on-one learning supports in multiple areas. Nola is a licensed Massachusetts SpecialEducation teacher who is certified in Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading programs. Through family consultation and student input, Nola will create an individual program based on the needs of each student. Data-based or project-based results will be shared with families. Nola will offer students opportunities to:
Learn and incorporate reading and spelling skills using the Orton-Gillingham (phonics) methodology
Plan and manage school-based summer work in a meaningful way
Explore and implement Executive Functioning skills while gaining a greater understanding of independent learning style
Develop reading comprehension strategies
Enrich writing skills thorough high interest topics
Working one-on-one with Nola is open to students entering 2nd-12th grade.
Fee for one hour of personalized teaching and learning is $100. Sessions may be purchased in blocks of 5 for $450.
Scheduling is based on the family’s and Nola’s mutual availability.
